Successful performance of pianist Theodosia Ntokou with the Athens State Orchestra

November 4, 2016. Great pianist Theodosia Ntokou triumphed with a stunning interpretation in the Piano Concerto no. 2 of Dmitry Shostakovich.
Truly exemplary performance rewarded with the impressive interpretation of the fine musicians of the Athens State Orchestra under the excellent musical direction of maestro Uroš Lajovic.
The title of the concert was "Cities of Music-Moscow" dedicated to 400 years of Shakespeare's death, and was preceded by introductory speech by Tito Gouvelis.
The program included works by Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev, inspired by two classic Shakespearean masterpieces, the "Tempest" and "Romeo and Juliet", respectively "brilliantly interpreted by the Athens State Orchestra with the great Slovenian conductor Ouro Lagiovits on the podium.
The big surprise of the concert was the amazing interpretation of the internationally acclaimed pianist Theodosia Ntokou.
Christos Lambrakis Hall of the Athens Concert Hall Megaron, was crammed full of people who then applauded Theodosia Ntokou, and impressed by her interpretation. Ten times brought her to the stage where she performed a prelude by Chopin.
Proteze of the great pianist Martha Argkerich and having mentor the conductor Daniel Barenboim, Theodosia Ntokou based in Berlin, glorifies Greece from abroad.
It was one of the best concerts of the Athens State Orchestra.
The virtuoso soloist pianist Theodosia Ntokou managed the impossible interpreting perfect the concert, like little diamonds the notes, her wistfully pianissimo at the second part, and a fast tempo in the finale.
Well done to the Athens State Orchestra, the artistic director Stefanos Tsialis and the wonderful pianist Theodosia Ntokou. Congradulations to all!!!
